This Site

This blog site is primarily a personal collection of SharePoint links and references that I have been acquiring over the years.  By no means is it definitive, just a place to which I can refer and jog my memory.  If others can glean information from it…all the better.

My Level of Expertise

I am a SharePoint Administrator who does not code.  Even though necessity is the mother of invention, I do not have the expertise or time to invent my solutions through code.  Hence, I look to the experts for new inventions and solutions.  Experts can be third-party solution providers or the SharePoint blogging community at large.

My Goal

As I traverse the SharePoint community, I am continually bookmarking and cataloging solutions and following discussions that relate to my requirements with SharePoint.

Through this blog, my goal is to categorize and share on the various topics of SharePoint.

My Experience with SharePoint and Internal Customers

My internal customers have a knack for wanting more from SharePoint than what is possible out of the box.  Again, not being a coder and pretty much a one-man shop, I am a big proponent of using third-party solutions…if budget allows.  When budgets don’t budge, I will make use of Content Editor Web Parts, Jquery code, calculated columns and SharePoint Designer.

My Promise to Visitors of this Site

If I can be of any help in clarifying any of my POSTS, I’ll make every attempt to reply to your comments.  Again, not being a coder, I can only hope to steer you in the right direction or point you to someone who is an expert on the topic.

Since many of the original postings prior to March 2010 came from my cheat-sheet of borrowed code, I will not be able to tell you from where the solution came.  But most likely, let it be said, that many of my better solutions came from:

  • EndUser SharePoint
  • Path To SharePoint

After I get all my historical data into this site, any postings that came from other sources will be cited with direct links.

Glad to have you as a visitor.
