You configure profile imports in the Central Admin by going to Site Settings > Manage profile database > Configure profile import.

Added this LDAP query to MOSS’ profile import:

“(&(objectCategory=Person)(objectClass=Contact)(mail=*)(showInAddressBook=*))”
