The following Web Part gallery menu option shows how custom Content Editor web parts (CEWPs) that CSS behaviors on the client’s machine are saved into the gallery of web part templates.

For example, included in the gallery are CEWPs that:

  • Change the default double column box view into a single column box view
  • Fields that are “multi-line” can get wordy and eat up a lot of real estate.  There is a WP that can truncate text to two lines with a “…more” link.
  • Don’t want users to explore all the ‘views’ for a given list?  Hide the view choices.
  • Are column names too long to show in datasheet view?  Hide them.
  • Don’t want users to upload into a library?  Hide the menu option.

You get the idea.
