In 2005 I established and matured my company’s first enterprise portal and Knowledge Management environment — Microsoft SharePoint. It continues to serve as the organization’s global de facto Business Management delivery system.

As a SharePoint Portal Administrator I have held the position as Business Systems Analyst with an eye on solving collaborative challenges that are inherent between an organization’s functional groups.

I enjoy discovering the gain in efficiency that is produced in developing build to order solutions. SharePoint signifies a shift that really delivers on the workplace productivity promise and I take satisfaction in lending my analytical and interpersonal communication skills to that end.

As a whole I continue to draw from and engage the growing number of SharePoint Bloggers and User Groups.  I fully leverage the community’s exchange of ideas and shared solutions.

In the real world, my internal customers (company associates) seem to want more from SharePoint than what is possible out of the box. To date, I have pretty much been a one-man shop and if budget allowed, I relied on consultants and third-party solutions to take care of the heavy custom development work.

When budgets don’t budge, I will make use of Content Editor Web Parts, jQUERY code, Calculated Columns and SharePoint Designer.
